why wellness coaching?
Wellness is an active process. It’s how you increase your awareness and make choices towards a more balanced and fulfilling life. My coaching style builds upon this process by utilizing the Six Dimensions of Wellness (nationalwellness.org): emotional, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual. Most importantly, these dimensions intersect and impact what decisions we make towards our daily routines, health, career, financial goals, and even our interactions with those around us. Let’s be clear, you may not need help in all of these areas. Does one stand out more than others?
Six Dimensions of Wellness
As your wellness coach,
I am not your counselor.
Let’s clear up any misconceptions there may be about coaching. It is not therapy or counseling, although, at times, it may feel like it. I do have a way of making my clients open up and feel safe talking about truly pressing issues. Please know that my ethical obligation is always to my clients first. Everything we discuss is confidential.
Sometimes I will be your mentor, accountability partner, change facilitator, and supportive guide to help you launch goals, new perspectives and to help you get to new destinations in your life.
Before you get all excited, here is a special note. My role is not to make any decisions for you. That’s right!
The fact is that you make all the decisions!
Think of wellness coaching as a vehicle. It puts you in the driver’s seat to look at where you are now. And then, it transports you to where you would like to be in the coming future through guidance, mentoring, accountability, and resources. Therefore, you are always in charge of your outcome!
